RIP: Rudolfo Anaya




In a great loss to the literary world, Award-winning author Rudolfo Anaya has died at the age of 82 on Sunday, June 28. This icon was considered to be a founding father of Chicano Literature. "Michelle Lujan Grisham tweeted Tuesday. 'His life’s work amounts to an incredible contribution to the great culture and fabric of our state — not only through his prodigious literary contributions but through his decades as an educator at the University of New Mexico.'”

Winner of the Premio Quinto Sol National Chicano Literary Award -- Antonio Marez is six years old when Ultima comes to stay with his family in New Mexico.
