I am fascinated by how there seems to be a day for everything, ampersands (the & symbol) included. Ampersand Day was created by AmperArt founder Chaz DeSimone for the simple reason that well everything else gets a holiday so why not "&". He chose September 8, because, in various fonts, you can use a lot of Ampersands when writing that date.
The Ampersand itself has a neat history. It is a combination of E and T, for the Latin "et" meaning "and". It also used to be the last letter of the alphabet, and schoolchildren in recitation would say "...x, y, z, and per se and" which eventually jumbled together to make one-word "ampersand".
& so, I was inspired to go off in search of book titles that feature &.
