March 1st is recognized as National Wedding Planning Day! Who knew, right? My own wedding was planned in 6 weeks, which always seems to amaze people. The trick? I had a December wedding, and getting married in the off-season means discounts. I also had a good friend say: "Hey, you remember the chair covers at my wedding?" When I admitted I had no recollection, she said: "Exactly, don't waste your money." I also took a good look at my friends and said: "I'm so not into torturing my friends, just wear a black dress that you love and can afford." Because in the end, all that stuff people get tripped up over, doesn't matter, what mattered was that I was marrying someone who I love dearly, who is my best friend, and adores me at my worst, but will still call me out when I'm over the top; same as I do him.
