The summer of 1995 was not the best for me. It was super-hot, I was somehow, constantly babysitting, and I got chased by a bull, (granted it was a baby bull but still, A BULL!!!!). What got me through was the only cassette tape I had on me when I left for a weekend turned month-long trip; that cassette was the soundtrack to Batman Forever. You can say whatever you want about that movie but, that soundtrack was my everything that Summer. Batman was my superhero of choice. Micheal Keaton will always be my batman and homework did not begin until Batman: The Animated Series was over, (Mark Hamill will always be my Joker).

"Over the years, many artists have defined the look of one of the most iconic characters in popular culture-- DC Comics' Batman. Of all of them, perhaps the most influential is Neal Adams, who began drawing the Caped Crusader just as he was in danger of disappearing into a black hole of TV-inspired campiness and Pop Art oblivion. Adams's art returned Batman to his urban crime roots, putting him back in the shadows and rehibilitating his image for a new generation of fams. Joining Adams in the Batman renaissance was writer Denny O'Neil, who crafted stories to match the look and feel of the Dark Knight Detective's gothic roots. Inker Dick Giordano also helped refine that look, and together the trio set a new standard for Batman comics. Now, for the first time, all of Neal Adams's Batman work -- covers and stories -- is being chronologically collected..." --Page 4 of cover.
