On December 21, 1937, Disney's Snow White premiered at the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles, California. Revered as one of the greatest animated films in history, Snow White is the Original Disney Movie and Princess, (also, the only princess to have a place on the Hollywood Walke of Fame; third cartoon character after Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny).
First published in 1812 by the Brothers Grimm, Snow White has undergone several adaptions via novels, film, and television. For two seasons from 1987-1988, ABC aired "The Charmings" where Snow White and her family are transported from Fairy Tale land into 1980s California and have to learn how to adjust to life there. I remember nothing more than just loving the show and being devastated once it was canceled. Disney's version was re-released in theaters in 1952, 1958, 1967, 1975, 1983, 1987, and 1993. I saw the 1987 re-release, making Snow White the first Disney movie I saw in theaters.
